Muddy badgers preparing for winter
The clocks changed and the badger visiting times started to vary widely. Sometimes I would see them at 7pm and other times no one would appear until 10pm. The five badgers were still the regular crew, Blondie, Patch, Truffle, Humbug and Pixie; I quite often saw them stopping to groom each other and chase one another around the garden. It was a good sight to see badgers passing through with muddy faces, a sign they were foraging for food (often in my lawn!) and not relying on any easier food sources. Looking back at earlier pictures it was safe to say Blondie had filled out somewhat, it was defiantly preparing for winter.
